Privacy notice
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This Privacy notice explains what personal data Mingo.page collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what choices you have. It covers the website, editor, published wedding pages, RSVP tools, and related services (the "Service").
1. Who is responsible
Mingo.page operates the Service. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
When guests submit RSVP replies on your wedding page, you (the page owner) decide what questions to ask and how you use the replies. Mingo.page processes those replies to provide the Service to you.
2. Data we collect
Account and sign-in data. Email address, account creation time, and sign-in codes sent by email. Sign-in uses a one-time email code. We do not use social login passwords stored by Mingo.page.
Wedding page content. Information you enter or upload, such as couple names, welcome text, dates, venues, schedule, extra details, translations, theme choices, and header photos.
Guest replies (RSVP). Guest name, attendance status, notes, and answers to your custom questions. Depending on what you ask, this may include email address, guest count, meal choices, or other details you choose to collect. Guests do not need to create an account.
Access and security data. Optional guest access PIN for protected pages, session information for signed-in editors, and limited technical data such as IP address used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
Payment and hosting data. Payment is processed by our payment provider. We store payment-related identifiers needed to confirm publish and hosting status, and may store the owner email associated with the order.
Custom domain data. If you connect your own domain, we process the hostname and related verification details needed to serve your page securely.
We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising trackers in the Mingo.page product itself. On the marketing website, Google Analytics runs only if you accept all cookies.
3. Why we use the data
We use personal data to:
- create and secure your account with email sign-in codes
- let you create, edit, publish, and share a wedding page
- collect and show guest replies for the page owner
- process payments and keep hosting active for the paid term
- send transactional emails such as sign-in codes, edit links, payment confirmations, and hosting reminders
- protect the Service from abuse and unauthorized access
- support custom domains when you choose to use one
- respond to support requests you send us
- understand how the marketing website is used, if you accept analytics cookies
4. Legal bases
Where GDPR or similar rules apply, we process data based on one or more of the following: performance of a contract (providing the Service you requested), our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, and consent where required (for example for certain cookies). Mandatory legal obligations may also apply.
5. How long we keep data
Sign-in codes expire quickly and are removed after use or expiry.
Signed-in sessions typically last up to 30 days, unless you sign out earlier or the session ends for security reasons.
Published wedding pages and RSVP replies are kept for the active hosting term after publish (one year, unless renewed). Before the term ends, we may send a reminder. If hosting is not renewed, the page and related guest replies are removed as part of our retention process.
Drafts you delete are removed when you delete the page in settings. Unpaid drafts that you keep may remain until you delete them or ask us to remove them.
Payment records held by our payment provider follow that provider's retention rules and applicable accounting requirements.
6. Who we share data with
We share data only as needed to run the Service, including with:
- Payment provider (Polar) for checkout and payment confirmation
- Email delivery provider for sign-in codes and transactional messages
- Infrastructure and domain providers such as hosting/database providers and, for custom domains, Cloudflare for SSL and hostname validation
- Google Analytics for visit statistics on the marketing website, only when you accept all cookies
Guest replies are visible to the wedding page owner and can be exported by the owner (for example to Excel). Do not ask guests for information you do not need.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the Service, users, or others from serious harm or abuse.
7. International transfers
Depending on where our providers operate, data may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers and applicable law.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. If you are a guest who replied on a wedding page, you can also contact the couple or page owner who collected your reply.
9. Children
Mingo.page is intended for adults planning a wedding. The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly create accounts for children.
10. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie policy.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
